Software Project Manager, Gateshead

Salary up to £55,000 depending on experience

My client is a market leading software provider who are currently enjoying huge success. They pride themselves on their highly skilled and forward-thinking team, and they strongly believe it is their employees that have allowed them to carve out the established role they play in the IT market today. They are now looking for an experienced Senior Software Project Manager to become a key member of their project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering multiple, concurrent projects of varying size and complexity.

Responsibilities:

– Lead major industry initiatives on behalf of the client, liaising directly with both customers and Industry representative bodies

– Manage the delivery of a number of projects of varying sizes, adopting best practice project management techniques to achieve project deliverables and maintaining communication to project team members and stakeholders via meetings and reporting

– Work directly with the internal Development and Infrastructure Teams and external parties to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to scope

– Work with other Project Managers overseeing and co-ordinating cross-functional initiatives to ensure that time cost and quality parameters are monitored and managed

– Undertake pro-active risk management to minimise any threats to delivery

Criteria:

– You will have demonstrable experience as an IT Software Project Manager, managing the delivery of complex business and IT change

– You will have solid experience of all stages of the project delivery and software development lifecycles

– You will have demonstrable experience of managing a diverse change portfolio

– You will be an excellent communicator with experience of engaging and managing third parties

– You will have a demonstrable track record of major project delivery with a proven understanding of project management techniques in an agile environment

– You will have a demonstrable track record of working in a matrix management environment

– You will be a good team player
