Permanent Field Fleet Engineer – Middlewich £45,000 – £50,000 per annum (small van can be provided or car allowance)
Talent84 Ltd have a Permanent, Full-Time vacancy for a Field Fleet Engineer to oversee the operational maintenance of an established logistics providers fleet.
Hours of work are:
- Mon – Fri 45 hours per week
Pay Rate:
- £45,000 – £50,000 per annum (small van or car allowance provided)
Job role purpose:
To be responsible for overseeing the operational maintenance of the company’s fleet of around 800 assets.
The role will require a degree of travel across the Northwest of England, duties are varied and may include:
- Identifying areas of improvements and spend/cost reductions.
- Working alongside the head of the fleet to detail and photograph all assets within the group to develop refurbishment and replacement programs.
- Implementing systems to ensure vehicle compliance and vehicle maintenance is completed to company and industry standards.
- Ensuring legal compliance is maintained.
- Assisting and supporting the Fleet Administration Department to ensure best practices are delivered.
- Undertaking depot and equipment audits, discussing with local management, and implementing action plans for any identified areas of improvement
- Closely managing VOR equipment and repair plans
- Providing technical knowledge and support
- Comply and provide pre agreed reports to head of fleet.
- Putting service schedules in place
- Ensuring fleet maintenance targets are achieved/exceeded.
Skills required:
- Industry recognised professional qualification.
- HGV Technicians qualification and experience
- Understanding of Road Transport Legislation
- Previous experience of workshop or fleet management
